Oh my goodness, it feels like forever since I’ve done a full review of a product! I’m not even sure how that happened.
In any case, I was looking for a good concealer that would actually cover my dark circles. Story of my life! I know there are a lot of you out there always searching for the perfect concealer too!
After about 15 minutes of searching various blogs and youtube channels, it became quite clear that it would be hard to ignore the Aritaum Full Cover line. The reviews are nothing short of wonderful and my favorite seller, Jolse, sells it for only $8.48! You can buy it here if you want to check it out for yourself.
The price was enough for me to decide to purchase the concealer. ^_^
Packaging:
Unlike some of the more vibrantly packaged products, the Aritaum concealer tube is pretty clean and chic. It’s just a simple 25ml plastic tube that is easy to keep in your makeup bag for touch ups – not like you will need those.
Consistency:
I know this is labelled as a liquid concealer, but it is definitely more of a cream. It is very thick!
The thing is, there is a cream concealer in this line. However, this one comes in a pot with both shades of the concealer. I think the difference between the two is probably in the application.
But, hey, I haven’t actually tried the concealer pot, so what can I say? 😉
As far as blendability goes, this product definitely works better with a bit of warming up on your hand. If you don’t it won’t be such a big deal though. It does blend nicely with other bb creams and foundations, so that is nice.
Results:
Just to warn you, close ups of my eye are coming sans makeup! If you are like my first roommate in college who is slightly afraid of pictures of eyes…I’m sorry.
I looked to the side if that helps :D.
Hello, dark circles!
I would like to blame these on the internet. 😉
Somehow it doesn’t look so bad this close?
Ok, this is how I’ve found that I like to apply this concealer. You really don’t need a lot of this. Just a few little dot’s and blend outwards!
A weeks worth of sleep in a bottle! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Really though, how awesome is this concealer?! Even some of my poor freckles got stuck in the crossfire and are concealed
This is after the application of the rest of my makeup. I’m wearing both cc and bb cream on top of the Aritaum concealer. You can even put on the concealer after bb cream if you wanted. I just did it this way to demonstrate.
Overall:
Needless to say, I’m kind of in love with this! 4.5/5!
The concealer has rose hip oil in it and I can really feel that my skin under my eyes is hydrated throughout the day.
The lasting power is pretty awesome as well. I never have to retouch my concealer! Not even in the freak humidity of the South.
Just a shade note, I am normally an NC 25. After this Summer, I’m slightly into NC 30 and I was afraid that this concealer would be too light. Luckily, it turned out to be perfect. I would say that if you might have trouble with this if you are darker than NC 30.
Ok, here is the reason for the 4.5!
I would like to start of by saying that I have had these 2 fine lines under my eyes since I was about 15. I need a good I cream!
Anyway, this concealer is almost holy grail worthy. But without applying a primer, it creases under the eye. I’ve tried apply less and the result is the same. Be warned!
Other than that, my love affair with this concealer will probably continue for a good long time!
What do you think? Have you tried this before?
wow the coverage is awesome 😀
