Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24hr Auto Eyebrow Pencil Review

Hello everyone ^_^~~~

I’ve been holding onto this for a while, but I’ve been using this eyebrow pencil for about a month. This is the first time that I’ve used a color this dark and I don’t think I’ll be going back.

At least, not any lighter than a dark brown.

This is the second product that I’ve used from Holika Holika and I think I’m going to have to do some more exploring!

I got this in #1 Grey Black, but there are 3 other colors available.

Unlike their blusher, which you can see in the background, this packaging is super sleek and simple.

I don’t dislike it, but what can I say? I’m a Taurus.

Cute packaging is always welcome! šŸ˜€

The end has a spoolie!

That is one of the main reasons I decided to try this one instead of the plethora of other eyebrow pencils on the market.

This is how it looks when you first get it, but since the product is really soft, it ends up being more rounded.

Like I said, the gel is SUPER soft and you don’t have to press very hard to make it show up. In fact, I’ve found that I need to apply this with a feather light touch.

Lasting Power:

Oh my goodness! Holika Holika advertises this as an all day, no smudge product and let me tell you, they aren’t lying!

Even when the rest of my makeup fades, my eyebrows are always strong.

Though, that may not be a good thing ;).

Ok, see why I need to fill in my eyebrows?!

My eyebrows fell victim to my teenage years and I’m still trying to grow them out.

I really love this pencil! It is so easy to use for someone like me who is still a newbie when it comes to filling in my own eyebrows.

This is how I apply it. Since I have to fill in the super sparce inner area, I draw a few short upward strokes to make sure it doesn’t look too fake.

For the rest of my eyebrow I use short, light strokes just to fill in the empty areas. The only long line I apply is underneath to reinforce the shape.

What a difference eyebrows make! Even with simple makeup like this, I feel like having fuller eyebrows just balances my face.

Aaaand you can see all my freckles in this lighting!

But my eyebrows look good ;).

Have you tried this eyebrow pencil?

Good afternooooon~~~~

I am posting this today for two reasons.

1. This is the most makeup that I’ve worn since I moved from New Orleans to a small town in that-place-that-shall-not-be-named. Sad, I know.

2. I’m going to need your help!!! Keep reading to see why šŸ˜‰

Let’s start with the base!

Overall, the colors are neutral, but I wanted a bit of a sultry look.

These are the products that I used for the base makeup:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
  • Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer 02 Natural Beige
  • Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation in 200 Sand Beige
  • L’Oreal True Match Mineral Powder
  • Revlon Peach Glow Highlighter (I used this for contouring since the color is dark)
  • Wet n’ Wild Pearlescent Pink Rose Blusher

And on to the eyes, we go!

A smokey eye is appropriate for everything, right? šŸ™‚

And look! I finally found a brow product that doesn’t look crazy on me :D. Actually, I think it looks pretty natural. I never would have thought a color that dark would work so well.

Here’s what I used:

  • Kat Von D Sinner Palette
  • Maybelline Eye Studio in Blackest Black
  • Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24hr Auto Eyebrow Pen in 01 Grey Black
  • Maybelline Rocket Mascara

Alright, here’s what I need your help with.

20140814_101317What in the world am I going to do with my lips?!

Our dresses are red, and I mean bright red! No joke.

So I thought about red lipstick, but I think that might be too much?

What do you think?
